1.6" Nathan Simplex No. 11 Injector
IN PRODUCTION - EXPECTED JUNE 2026
Nathan’s No. 11 “Simplex Type R” Injector was commonplace nationwide on a wide variety of locomotives from SP 0-6-0’s to heavy Mikados, and with its simple balanced lever operation, it has become a highly desired product for our live steam models since Barry Hauge first introduced them to our hobby decades ago.
Eccentric Engineer’s Simplex in 1.6” scale is modeled directly from Nathan blueprints, and is uncompromising in its faithfulness to the original. This offering includes the option for either 5 pint or 3.7 pint per minute capacity nozzles.

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a reintroduction of SuperScale’s Simplex injector, but a brand new injector engineered from the ground up by Eccentric Engineer.
The Eccentric Engineer and SuperScale simplex injectors are both highly accurate models of a Nathan No. 11 Simplex injector. As such, they are very close in size, but they are not identical. None of the individual components are interchangeable, and the assembled injector is not intended to be interchangeable. Swapping will require unsoldering the original connections and soldering on the new ones. Original piping in most cases should be reusable.
