This 1.6” Scale safety valve is modeled after a 3.5” bore Consolidated type R Safety valve, which was found on countless sTandard Gauge locomotives throughout the US.

These model safety valves feature a 17-4ph hardened stainless steel valve and insert for the valve seat to provide the longest possible service life, and the blowdown ring is made from 303 stainless to keep it from getting stuck over time.

The bass and body are highly detailed lost wax bronze castings, and the springs are custom wound from 17-7ph stainless steel.

Pop pressure and reseat differential are independently adjustable.
